Ground tire rubber asphalts are produced by incorporating finely ground recycled tires, in suitable size, in a suitable asphalt base. Ground tire rubber provides benefits to the asphalt binder and reduces environmental problems. Waste tires are a society´s major problem and the use of ground tire rubber in asphalt pavement has been one of the most used techniques worldwide because of the large volume of this waste that is utilized for the improvement of asphalt mixtures.
